Let your eyes open in awe, your legs sing, and cleanse your lungs with the fresh air, beauty, and joy in climbing in this special part of the world.

DAY 1:  VENICE PICK-UP

Picture
Our Cycling Centre team will greet you with a smile and a snack in Venice before transporting to our hotel.

Enjoy an Aperol Spritz while our team helps you assemble your bike or test ride a rental bike.  We'll do a short ride to make sure everything is working.

Dinner, like every night in Bad, is at our hotel, a 4 course  delicacy of local dishes that will delight your taste buds and feed your muscles for the upcoming week.

DAY 2: PASSO GIAU

Picture
A stunningly beautiful start to our week of riding as we take our time to open our legs and lungs on the Passo Valparola before tackling the magnificently epic Passo Giau.  With an average of 7% but some double digit inclines be sure to look around and get distracted by the jagged peaks of the surrounding mountains.

There will be opportunities to stop for coffee and pastries, or lounge around the support van with it's abundant supplies of snacks, sandwiches, and treats.

The Passo Falzarego will finish out the day, or hop in the van for a quicker transport to the hotel.

  • Ride: 90 km - 2,600 m

DAY 3: GARDENA

Picture
We are in the region of South Tyrol, steeped in history and border changes, you will see the Austrian history reflected in the architecture and overflowing flower boxes.

Today's loop begins with the Passo Gardena; your legs may feel some fatigue, but it's likely due to the 4-7% grades that your brain is making look flat. After some rest, caffeine, and special treats from the support van we'll continue up the Passo del Erbe; or you can hop in the van for a faster return to the hotel with its sauna and massage therapists available for post ride recovery.

  • Ride: 108 km - 3,000 m

DAY 4: SELLA RONDA

Picture
The classic loop around the Gruppo di Sella mountain range is one of the most spectacular bike rides in Europe.  The four mountain passes are manageable in terms of gradient and offer dramatic scenery that will awe and inspire.  The Dolomites are an UNESCO World Heritage Site after all!

From our hotel, we’ll head over the iconic Passo Campolongo, then the tame Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella, and finish with the side of the Passo Gardena that we descended yesterday. Four climbs may sound like a lot, but remember, it's less than a handful!

  • Ride: 70 km - 1,950 m

DAY 5: PASSO Fedaia

Picture
We begin the way we finished yesterday with Gardena and Sella; for those who feel like "been there, done that" we'll shuttle you ahead to Canazei to start your ride.

The stunning views of the Marmolada at the top of the Passo Fedaia make its ramps of 12 to 15% worth it. The short route will loop home through Arabba, or you can choose to ride Passo Giau from the side you descended a few days ago.  A fun deviation of only a few kilometres is to ride on the Serrai di Sottoguda, a quiet car free road (2 euro entrance fee) on which to enjoy the solitude of the gorge, ride across 12 bridges, and experience the power of nature.

  • Ride: 62 km - 1,682 m
  • Ride:  130 km - 4,100 m

DAY 6: TRE CIME

Picture
There are several options today; ride from the hotel going over the Passo Valparoloa in to the beautiful Cortina d'Ampezzo overflowing with 1000s of years of history.  Or choose to shuttle to this beautiful town and begin the ride up to Tre Cime di Lavaredo from here.

This dead-end road is a cycling
haven and the perfect end to our cycling days as celebrate back at the hotel sipping on local grappa.

  • Ride: 44 km - 1,564 m (Cortina to Tre Cime)
  • Ride: 58 km - 2,259 m (one way)
  • Ride: 122 km - 3,500 m (out and back)

DAY 7: VENICE

Picture
We will depart for Venice after breakfast and arrive for a full afternoon to explore the canals and hidden passageways of the amazing city.

There are several walking tours and boat tours that one can take, or simply meander and try to get lost in the narrow corridors that always seem to lead somewhere.

Take a break for an espresso or gelato and enjoy some people watching while scouting a restaurant in one of the town squares or along the grand canal for dinner.

Dinner will be on your own tonight and you can take a bus to the hotel whenever you are ready for 2 euro.
